Church Organs
A magnificent new book Churches of Mann: Isle of Man Churches, Chapels and Keeills, published by Lily Publications, has been enthusiastically supported by the Manx Heritage Foundation.
As part of the project the Foundation undertook to record and produce a CD of the main church organs on the Island, featuring local organist Gareth Moore.
The CD is only available with the book.
Complementary with the book is this web page which features further information about the organs, as well as new photos.
We are indebted to local organ builder Peter Jones for supplying the information on the various instruments, and to Peel photographer John Hall for his splendid photographs of the cases and the detail of the instruments.
The feature on each instrument can be seen by opening the PDF files below, and over the coming months new files will be added.
