Workshops – Fiddle Workshop

A recent example of this was a workshop for traditional fiddle playing run by the renowned Hardanger fiddle player, Einar Mjølsnes. Einar was in the Island with the Stravanger Symphony Choir visiting as part of a Norwegian delegation to the Island. Twenty violinists and as many spectators from all over the Island gathered at Ramsey town hall and the participants – including one holidaymaker from Scotland who happened to have his fiddle with him – ranged from school pupils to experienced players and the events brought together musicians from both classical and folk music backgrounds.
